An Airbnb apartment in the commercial heart of Istanbul, a two-bedroom abode that was furnished from scratch. With modern flooring and neutral walls, I combined modernity with Turkish-inspired classic decor. Selecting pieces that were antique and sourced locally, including mid-century rustic reclining chairs, ottoman table stands and classic engraved dressers.
The overall theme was boho vintage, combining relaxed elements such as macrame wall hangings with chunky antique furniture for an overall look that was eclectic and invoked a sense of worldliness while staying true to the location.
The colour palette included warm browns and rustic shades of beige to make an otherwise cold apartment feel homey.
